Stainless Steel

Stainless steel bars can be bought in the A, or solution condition, whereby we can precipitation harden the bar or components to your specified tensile strength or hardness.

If the condition has to be changed and a solution process is necessary the base material is heated in our vacuum furnaces to between 925°c and 1065°c followed by a rapid gas quench.

The precipitation process is carried out in one of our air tempering furnaces by heating to between 482°c and 580°c for between 1 to 4 hours depending on your final required condition.
